Reverse With Me (2025) — Series

If you’re following REVERSE WITH ME the series, you will know that they finally aired the last episode of the series last night, Wednesday, March 26, 2025, on IQiyi. The ending depicted a beautiful conclusion of Karan and Kliao’s story. However this wonderful blend of mystery, fantasy and romance is not without any flaws. This is the review of REVERSE WITH ME the series on IQiyi with the length of 8 episodes.

REVERSE WITH ME by SiamSi Studio is a live action adaptation from a novel with the same title by Zezeho. The novel itself gained popularity among online Girls Love (GL) enthusiasts and the live action adaptation was announced last year (2024) along with the cast members.

This story is set on the same universe as REVERSE 4 U, written by the same novelist. However, if you haven’t watch REVERSE 4 U, you don’t have to worry, you can just jump in to REVERSE WITH ME with no problem.

Don’t worry, this review contains NO MAJOR SPOILERS! {alertSuccess}

Full Review of 8 Episodes of REVERSE WITH ME

Let me start from what I really love from the series:

The first episode of REVERSE WITH ME able to captivated me as the audience. The first episode really shows how well SiamSi studio’s production is. The visual effects did not fail to amaze me until the very end of the series. The cinematography was also beautiful, from the settings to the wardrobe, the styling was amazing. Even though this is the first series produced by SiamSi Studio, they really shows their full potential with this series. Compared to other Thailand GL series, if you’re following along, you could really tell how well-produced REVERSE WITH ME is.

Reverse With Me (2025) — Series

There are no continuation problems in REVERSE WITH ME like what we could see from the popular series THE SECRET OF US (Netflix/Ch3+), which you can tell they didn’t even bother to retouch the make up after a failed kissing scene, or when Fahlada only packed one clothe in her suitcase. All in all, REVERSE WITH ME able to convinced me with what’s happening on the screen, beyond relying on beautiful casts of the main couple. Technical wise, YES, this series is really good. Well-produced.

The performance of the main actresses, Natt and Pitcha also amazing. Considering this is the very first time Natt is playing as the main character in a series, I could already see her potential and wishing to see her more, starring in other series or movies, as an individual actress or as a couple with Pitcha.

As for Pitcha, I think she’s a pro! She could pull off difficult scenes and makes me feel how her character feels. The desperation, the sadness, the longing, the frustration, and confusion, all of it, Pitcha could play it really well.

The chemistry between the two is perfect overall. But this is where the problem occurs, something that I don’t particularly satisfied with the writing of the script of this series. If you watch Natt and Pitcha vlogs on SiamSi Studio’s official YouTube Channel, you can easily see how well Natt and Pitcha get along together, but in the series, there was not enough screen time to develop the relationship.

Now, let’s talk about what I less satisfied with this series:

I believe a story like this—a blend of mystery, science-fiction, fantasy, and romance—needs more time to unfold the story as it is the heart of the plot and will impact the development of the main couple in the story. In this case, even though Natt and Pitcha could perform the characters really well, they didn’t get enough screen time to develop the relationship. The writer instead focusing more on the development of the side couple. To put it simply, I don’t think 8 episodes is enough for REVERSE WITH ME. Karan and Kliao feel more like a side character in their own story.

Maybe… I don’t know for sure, but maybe it’s because the novel itself is too complex to be adapted into a limited series like this. So I can understand how hard it is to lay out the story in a bite-able chucks for general audience (people who have or have not read the novel).

However, this series redeemable aspects are in the well-produced, well-casted, and well-performed overall. I think, if SiamSi Studio is given more budget and time for different script, it might turn out great. I also wish to see Natt and Pitcha play again as a couple in another series, specifically produced by the same studio, since I believe SiamSi Studio truly understands the assignment on the technical stand point.
