Ghost Lab (2021) — Thai Movie

I was looking for something to watch on Netflix and I found this interesting Thai Movie called Ghost Lab. It’s not a recent movie, it’s been released in 2021. When I finally began watching it, I realized that I have seen it before, but I forgotten when.

This movie offers an interesting premise, two doctors who witness a paranormal activity together and they become obsessed investigating afterlife, until one of them dare to take his life as part of the experiment. Will they be able to break the boundaries between the living and the death?

Ghost Lab has an unexpected storyline and ending. I remember liking this movie the first time I watched it, but perhaps it was so long ago, I have forgotten about it already. I rewatched it again, in a different year, different sets and life circumstances and I really appreciate the message that this movie is trying to give to us through the storytelling.

This movie has little hidden details that I missed the first time seeing it. But it really is nice to see the recreation of classic horror stories that involves mad and obsessive scientists character like Frankenstein. There is also some parallels with Icarus from Greek Mythology, that they even include the painting in couple scenes—one of them is the most important scene in the movie. I always like little details like that, they even use Prometheus as the last name of the main character. It makes the story very poetic and solid in a way.

Ghost Lab delivers a good performance, production, and the most important of all, writing. If you’re looking for something to watch on Netflix, I could recommend Ghost Lab for you. Maybe some of you already seen it, but I’m sure there are many people out there who haven’t seen this movie yet.

This may not be a long review, because I only recommending something to watch. If you have seen it, you could tell me what you think about it in the comment section!
